Cette association est née après une étude approfondie dans les zones tropicales et notamment en Afrique. Les initiatives locales échouent car elles se heurtent à une série de difficultés (...). Les objectifs de CESIL sont les suivants: - Identifier, encourager et soutenir toutes les initiatives locales d’entreprise individuelle ou collective, susceptibles de promouvoir un développement endogène à partir des ressources durables. - Assister l’auto- promotion des populations, pleinement conscientes que le développement doit passer par la responsabilisation des bénéficiaires, facteurs essentiels pour la durabilité du projet et pour l’élaboration, par elles-mêmes d’un parcours cohérent par rapport à leurs différentes réalités socioculturelles. - Appuyer les groupements, associations, individus auprès des institutions financières et ONG qui financent et appuient les initiatives locales par divers moyens. - Œuvrer pour la protection de l’environnement en promouvant des activités de développement qui limitent la dégradation de la nature. - Organiser des programmes d’échanges d’expériences des jeunes, des camps chantiers de travail et projets communautaires que peut assister tous jeunes du monde entier. CESIL développe une philosophie d’action qui vise à déférer les énergies des volontés des membres adhérents au travers d’une mise en réseau démocratique et active. Les personnes et structures adhérentes répondent, par ailleurs, à des critères stricts de transparence et d’engagement. L’ensemble des actions ou « chantiers » se fond sur une analyse collective partagée. Aucune action ou chantier n’est développé sans qu’il ne soit voulu et validé tout au long de leur développement par les membres adhérents. Missions La mission s’énonce comme suit : « combattre la pauvreté et lutter pour un environnement sain, renforcer les capacités de développement des communautés défavorisées ; appuyer des initiatives locales et humanitaires, mobiliser des ressources pour mettre à la disposition des défavorisés et favoriser l’échange de savoir-faire. » CESIL se propose d’offrir des services d’appui au développement dans les pays parmi les plus pauvres de la planète. Tout au long de l’année,.Il mobilise des volontaires pour fournir un encadrement sur le terrain en partenariat avec des organisations locales. L’organisme réalise sa mission à travers des partenariats avec des organisations basées dans 18 pays en développement, dans divers autres pays du Nord : France, États-Unis, Canada, Belgique etc. CESIL réalise également des activités de sensibilisation du public; il organise ou participe au forum, colloque national et international. Il mobilise des volontaires pour appuyer des initiatives de partenaires de développement dans des pays différents. Des volontaires ont été d’un soutien précieux pour l’ONG CESIL proposant aux enfants fréquentant le centre, une action de sensibilisation au respect de l’environnement, l’accompagnement scolaire, les activités sportives et culturelles,... CESIL s’implique dans des projets humanitaires en assurant une relance rapide des activités socio-économiques. Des communautés défavorisées commencent par bénéficier de ses initiatives de développement. CESIL est ouvert à toute forme de partenariat susceptible de concourir à sa mission, de lutte contre la pauvreté et contre la dégradation de l’environnement.
